The nominations include Patricia Furtere Community Involvement Award, Emerging Business of the Year, Business of the Year, Woman-owned Business of the Year, Excellence in Social Media, Heart of Service (Best Customer Service) Award, Hidden Hero, Best Community Event, and Business Community Advocate Award. The LMRCA Chamber Awards Banquet will be held on November 13th, where the winners will be announced.

Employee of the month!
Choosing only one employee of the month, is like choosing the best ScoopAble Ice Cream. Just because others were not chosen that month, it doesn't mean they are not amazing.
Simon is the September Scooper Star! Simon stepped out of his comfort zone to be on camera for one of the popular news stories about our shop. He is always willing to help and has excellent attention to detail. Simon has a similar story to many of our Scoopers. He had a difficult time when getting a real job, when transitioning from school programs to adult programs, simply because he wasn’t given a chance. Simon enjoys keeping the shop tidy and organized and excels in customer service. You can bet he took the time to make your ice cream and experience the best!

Hello friends!
I am so excited for October! Each and every month, we are making bigger and better things! This month is a special month because it is Disability Employment Awareness and Down Syndrome Awareness Month! We have been planning for this month since opening. It’s such an important month for the disability to bring positive awareness to the employment issues individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities face. We are still learning how to make things better for our employees. We are constantly assessing and improving our processes to make it better for the employees to provide an amazing product and service to the community. This past month we had an engineer with OOD come in and help find a solution for the dipping cabinet height. Many of our employees struggled to reach to scoop some of the flavors. We received a stool due to this partnership that has made a big difference in our store!
I’m excited to create fall memories for families. I am aiming to make every season, ice cream season. The fall flavors are welcoming, paired with warm accents. It doesn’t get any better than a warm apple cider float. We also have sliced apple nachos, pumpkin pies, and everything in-between with even more coming soon.
Now, you can celebrate birthdays and holidays with ScoopAble Pies and Cakes! Who will be the first to order a ScoopAble gender reveal cake?! I know you may not be ready to hear about Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we are accepting pre-orders now for both holidays.
