He saw his shadow. Which means… more winter. More cold. More excuses for ice cream.
Listen, if we’re going to be bundled up for six more weeks, we might as well be happy about it. And honestly? Ice cream is extra good when it’s cold outside. The contrast. The cozy vibes. The “I deserve this” energy after walking in the cold—it just hits different.
Cold weather = fewer melty drips, better scoop texture, and the perfect reason to treat yourself just because. The groundhog has spoken, and we agree: winter is long… so dessert should be constant.

Hello friends,
The weather has been cold, but my heart is full of gratitude for our incredible ScoopAble community.
January ended with snow, freezing temps, and even a weekend closure—days we rely on heavily during winter. I expected slower days, but instead, you showed up in the cold and supported us in big ways. Some of our strongest days happened during the toughest weather, and it reminded me just how lucky we are to have the best customers around.
As we head into another cold month, winter remains our most challenging season, and every scoop truly makes a difference. Your visits, kind words, and continued support mean more than you know.
One silver lining of the slower season has been the chance to get creative and enhance the ScoopAble experience—from simple winter fun like making snowflakes to exciting new things coming soon.
We’re also thrilled to be working with local Girl Scout troops this February to create Girl Scout cookie–inspired ice cream flavors, with the girls involved every step of the way. These are going to be something special!
